Yeh, I'd like to hear from all the '96 summer folks and any of you at the
SF Ex., what you've been doing for fun, etc. this summer.

I worked at a local resort by Lake Champlain, writing nature studies
program activites for the kids' camp. Interesting to plan with the idea
for recreation (fun) in mind first and education (learning) second, then
blending the two in subtle ways so the kids still go for it. (Maybe we
should approach school that way!) Also did field inventory of local birds,
trees and golf balls. :)

Still looking forward to a time when I can get back out to the west coast.

In a week, I start teaching a course combining technology and assessment
from a teacher/researcher perspective. We'll be journaling about our own
progress as researchers as well as the about wonderings we have.
I'm wondering what ways teachers can make the assessment of learning with
technology a part of teaching...so as not to add on another piece to what
they have to do already, but incorporate it as part of the daily
teaching/facilitation process.

Keep in touch all.
Steve
