Hi all,
Hope all's well with everyone's plans for summer.
We're very interested in what people are planning for professional
development during the summer, and want to support your work (and help you
give support to each other) as much as possible. Please let us know if
there is anything we can do.
One resource you may find useful are some brief comments from IFI staff on
how we have modified the activities from the professional development
design workshop. During the past couple years since the activities were
written up, we realized that we have been slowly modifying our presentation
of each activity. We have posted some of thes modifications on our web page
in the "IFI-developed
activities for graduates" section.

If you are planning to present any of the following activities in your
summer work, consider looking through the changes we've been making.
3 Kinds of Hands-On Science with Tops
Process Circus
Ice Balloons
Pinhole Inquiry
Parachutes
If you've made successful modifications to IFI activities, or have invented
successful PD activities, please share your successes by sending them on
the listserv, or by contacting me so I can help with this.
Best of luck in your summer work and your other summer activities,
Fred Stein
