Ruth,
A team of teachers and I recently provided PD for around 100 teachers in
Ponca City, Oklahoma. They had divided their teachers into three groups-
K-2, 3-4, and 5-6. Of course more came than was anticipated, but we worked
it out well using a rotation system. We ran three congruent workshops
staffed by two facilitators each. One group did an two hour Questioning
session, one group did an adaptation of the Exploratorium's Process Circus
(2 hrs.), and the other provided a session on Science Literacy (2 hrs).
According to feedback it was quite successful and didn't prove to burden one
group down too much. Of course we did this over a one day period with each
session repeating three times. Hope this is helpful. With the number of
facilitators you have available, you should be able to find success by
rotating that group through three congruent one hour sessions. Good luck.
