Subject: formative assessment workshops

Hello grads
Two things I am interested in sharing with you --

1. I am now an assistant professor at UC Santa Cruz
in the Education dept.
------------------------email dash5@cats.ucsc.edu-
I am enjoying it very much.
I wanted let you all know this--
and that I will still be part of the
Exploratorium efforts, although not as much as before

Second.
I would like to know how you may have translated the formative
assessment workshop
1. into several day or week-long efforts --similar to our workshop or
2. other kinds of translation over time--say infusing it into study
groups etc.
if so which activities have you selected to use.

Can those of you who have done this let me know
and if possible send me an agenda of the event or some other kind of
data.

Some of you have already some this.
I will be working with at least there grps to
present mini-cases to the next formative assessment workshop
(Asset, Tucson, Lasers)--but all of your feedback would help us
greatly n understanding how those material shave been translated
THANKS

If yo would like a copy of the AERA paper we co-presented with Wynne on
formative assessment
let me know as well

Thanks

Doris
