| Description: | Library Processing Assistant Experience in library technical services or other pertinent library work; ability to work well with others in a team environment; excellent communication skills with the ability to follow and give clear instructions, communicate tactfully, diplomatically and effectively with users, colleagues, and outside service providers; experience with MS Windows/Office esp. EXCEL and WORD; pull loaded library book truck; experience working with web-based systems and in an electronic environment; demonstrated Customer-Service focus and the ability to adapt and respond to the Library’s users’ needs; position requires intermittent bending, squatting, climbing stairs, pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, sitting, standing, walking, carry/lifting up to 20 pounds, gripping/grasping, repetitive movements of upper extremities. Experience with the INNOPAC ILS, specifically Millennium Serials and Millennium Acquisitions modules; experience with library materials ordering and receiving; experience with library journal processing; experience with vendor web-based utilities; experience with copy cataloging; experience with electronic resources. Classified as a Library Assistant III, $3,087 - $4,015 per month, full time rate. Starting salary usually in the lower end of the range depending on experience and qualifications.
