Library Assistant for Digital Projects
University of San Francisco
Gleeson Library/Geschke Center
Library Systems Department

Work Hours:
Working Hours: 20 hours/week; pro-rated sick leave and vacation benefits.
Weekly Schedule: TBD

Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Performs day-to-day tasks necessary to digitize (BookEye scanning system) selections of the USF Gleeson library collection.
* Assists Department Head and Digital Collections Librarian in prioritizing and implementing multiple digitization projects,
working with Gleeson Library staff and diverse USF constituencies.
* Stays current with trends in academic library digitization and integrates this knowledge into various Library projects.
* Provides a high level of service to members of the University of San Francisco community and campus guests.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
A minimum of two years of college is expected for this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding organizational skills including the ability to create and maintain records with great attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and experience using the Internet. Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to work with a diverse group of people. Experience working in an academic library with automated systems, Innovative Interfaces and large-format book scanning systems preferred.
