To demonstrate Snell's law, the phenomena of total internal reflection and the dispersion of glass, we use the standard Cenco optical disc. A semicylinder of glass is mounted concentric with the disc with its diameter on the diameter of the disc. The angles of incidence and refraction are measured on both sides of the normal, for both air to glass and glass to air refraction.
