In this webcast you will learn how to create a performance evaluation that
is an opportunity for the employee and not just a chore for the supervisor.
You will learn how to write measurable performance objectives and how to
set challenging but attainable expectations. We will also discuss how to
prepare for the evaluation throughout the year, conduct the evaluation,
elicit feedback, and follow up on employee successes and failures. The
presenter will share practical advice about performance evaluation errors
to avoid.
Who Should Attend: This webcast will be of particular interest to anyone
who is new to or preparing to enter library management, or anyone who has
hiring or supervisory responsibilities. The basic concepts outlined in this
presentation are also suitable as a "refresher" for Library Directors,
Deputy Directors, Department Heads, Supervisors, and Volunteer Coordinators.
Speaker: Paula Singer, Ph.D. Paula is owner and President of The Singer
Group, a management consulting firm she founded in 1983. Her individualized
approach and commitment to excellence have resulted in a track record of
success with an impressive client list. With expertise in compensation,
organization development, strategic planning, and change management, Paula
brings a balance of broad perspective and specific focus to each project.
