If you want to help SLA, see below. I just answered this survey and it really did only take about 5 minutes to complete.

Hello Fellow SLA Members,

It is the survey season for SLA! There are two SLA Task Forces that are exploring professional value, the Task Force on Professional Value and the Research Now Task Force. The Task Force on Professional Value developed a short survey for SLA members. We want to send a big thanks to the over 300 members that have already taken the survey.

The survey will be open until April 2nd and we are continuing to request the participation of SLA members in our project. The survey includes seven questions that will take approximately five to ten minutes to complete. Questions focus on activities and roles that SLA members do in their jobs to support the success of their clients and organizations.

The SLA Task Force for Professional Value member’s survey web link is:

The survey results will be a part of a final report that will be available to members in late May and is scheduled to be presented at the annual meeting in Baltimore. Based on the analysis of the survey, task force members will make recommendations to the SLA Board for future actions.

Thanks in advance for participating in the survey.
