In this six-part series, Philip Morrison (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), one of modern physics' most renowned practitioners and teachers, presents science on a human scale.
Using the medium of television, Morrison shows viewers how science knows what it knows - moving from the time of Galileo to the modern era of quantum mechanics and astrophysics. Throughout, he stresses the actual hands-on experiences of gathering and evaluating scientific evidence and invites viewers to participate actively.
