Hello all -

It's that time again - Derwent Information is coming to San Francisco!

Derwent is holding a free patent searching workshop in San Francisco on
November 6 and 7, 2002. This workshop is beneficial to anyone that is
involved with patent searching, including law librarians, paralegals, patent
agents, patent attorneys, or patent examiners. By attending this workshop
you will learn useful new search techniques, pick up tips on searching more
effectively and economically, discover how to mine data buried in search
results, and master advanced techniques for precision searching and
information retrieval.

The workshop covers all technologies and demonstrates skills and techniques
for conducting effective patent searching on Derwent's online databases
through one of our on-line hosts, Dialog. The first day is for those that
are novice patent searchers, and the second day is a more advanced session.

The workshops are:
November 6 - Basic
9:30 - noon International Patents
1:00 - 4:00 Patent Search Techniques

November 7 - Advanced
9:30 - noon Advanced Patent Searching
1:00 - 4:00 Competitor Intelligence

You can attend both days, one day, or choose an individual workshop.
