Location

We were in a busy, noisy entrance/corridor, with low light, and no pedagogical connection between our activity and adjacent exhibitry, but
the placement of this activity within the museum did not seem to negatively impact visitor interest as much as we initially thought.

Anita set up an additional light above the tables, and the chairs were set out as previously described, controlling the traffic. The sound problems were overcome by the animated conversation of the visitors, several of them made reference to similar symposium events that were taking place throughout the museum.

Registration

Registration was not required, making the activity more chaotic than a registration-based class. But most visitors seemed to appreciate the fact that they didn't have to register in order to do the activity. They were allowed to stay as long as they wished or move in and out at their own pace. (Several times throughout the day visitors returned to test new ideas.)
