I wasn't able to attend the acoustics event at the Davies Symphony Hall, and
am very curious as to what transpired there. Were any important laws of
acoustics revealed in operation? I've always found the sound loudest way in
back in the highest balcony, all the way to the side; it seemed that the
sound was rushing up the walls and was deafening up there. Did you study
that phenomenon? Are the big sound reflectors over the symphony adjusted
all the time, or are they just decoration? The mufflers on the side walls
too? Thank you.
