Canoes in Sloughs / River of Words Teacher Watershed Workshop
Saturday, April 1, 2000, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, at Palo Alto Baylands

Learn watershed science, poetry, and art activities.
Earn .5 CEU from Dominican College (add'l cost).

Learn about River of Words and Canoes in Sloughs.
Take home a wealth of resource materials.

River of Words is an arts and environmental education program that conducts
an annual environmental poetry and art contest to help children discover
their "ecological address." ROW is co-sponsored by International Rivers
Network and the Library of Congress Center for the Book.
Canoes in Sloughs is the watershed education program of Save The Bay, a
nonprofit advocacy organization. Field trips with Canoes in Sloughs are
offered for sixth through twelfth grade students throughout the Bay Area.
