Not so Great Moments in the History of Science
NASA once erected a large wind turbine in the mountains of North Carolina.
The spinning blades had an unseen environmental impact, they disrupted
television reception.
The resulting howls of protest contributed to the eventual decision to
dismantle the turbine.
