We have a full year of 6th grade science, but students have only 4 periods a
week (compared to 5 for 7th and 8th grade), so that's 80%.

how your district runs the middle school science program. Specifically I
want to know if your district gives the students full years of science, or
less than full years of science in the 6th, 7th or 8th grades.

program where our sixth grade students receive only 1/2 year of science.

and necessitated by the standards, but we realize that we don't really have
data on what the general practice is.

science in sixth grade (or 7th or 8th!). If you know your district's
practice, please let me know. I think I'll just start with the following
information:

>1. 6th grade: Full year or Half year
>2. 7th grade: Full year or Half year
>3. 8th grade: Full year or Half year
>4. Name and location of district

Peninsula, or Bay Area schools, I'd like to know that, too.
