Experienced science teachers are needed to teach training sessions for
pre-intern
credential candidates who need to pass the MSAT and SSAT subject
matter tests.

We are especially looking for: biology, physics,
chemistry, earth science and general science teachers. These
on-line sessions will be held at a location of your convenience.
Trainings
will be broadcast using the internet via ClearPhone software
(www.clearphone.com) in secure virtual training rooms.

This work is being conducted through the Teaching and Learning
Interchange (TLI) Preparing Tomorrow's Teacher to use Technology
grant project in which the Exploratorium is an informal partner. We
aim to
support pre-intern teachers in obtaining subject matter competency
through the use of video technology.

The TLI is also developing an on-line community of practice to
support California's uncredentialed classroom teachers in the
acquisition of subject matter competence, knowledge of teaching
pedagogy, and classroom management strategies through tutoring and
mentoring.
