Subject: - Learning Studio - week of May 5

The big news this week is 5 new swans in the lagoon, 5 gray fuzzy cygnets
following their parents around. This brings the swan population up to 9.
Ducklings have also been sighted but for how long, someone mentioned seeing
a fox one morning.

And at the Learning Studio we have been having a small feeding frenzy of
shopping for various new materials including some new supplies.

OK OK I'll stop looking at the book and start writing short description.

Divided into historical periods this is a great browsing book for
discovering much of the history of those objects that make life so
enjoyable, or not. On the enjoyable side is Melitta Bentz without who's
contribution we would be filtering the grinds at the bottom of our coffee
cups through our teeth. Or the development of frozen food for reselling by
Clarence Birdseye.

I better stop here as it has taken forever to write the above text, I just
keep getting distracted by the book.

VIDEO, NEW ACQUISITIONS
