Lots of new electronic titles again.
Lately I have been going through the "New USGS Publications by Month" web site.

collection and add them to the list. The USGS has some great stuff online
so I'm locating a lot, and will do so for some time as I work through the
lists.

Now THIS is a periodic table of elements, with samples, images and links.
Put together by chemist and mathematician Theodore Gray.
One of these would look so cool in the Learning Studio.

A heavily, and well illustrated, collection of essays on the history of
evolution. Great stuff and some of the strangest critters I have ever seen.
Paleontology sure has gone a long ways from my grade school days when I was
having my dad check out books on the subject at the local university
library for me to read.
2. A New Kind of Science / Stephen Wolfram.

QA 267.5 .C45 W67 2002
A heavy, and well illustrated, work by physicist and mathematician Stephen
Wolfram. You may have heard about this self published work. He apparently
self published the book in order to guarantee the quality of the highly
detailed illustrations. This is one you probably will want to sit down with
for long periods of time.
He even has made available the Mathematica programs, nearly 800, that he
used in the book, these are at:

3. The Non-designer's Design Book : Design and Typographic Principles for
the Visual Novice / Robin Williams.
General collection circ.
Z 246 .W64 1994
A great book by THE Robin Williams, not the comedian.
This is the book I most recommend to anyone who is designing web pages,
whether they are a beginner or have done so for years. Not a word about
HTML, just good clear design.
