Hello Pinhole Friends,
You are all invited to attend the CMSESMC (Council of Math/Science
Educators of San Mateo County) Fall Kick Off and Resource Fair! This event
is sponsored by Council of Math/Science Educators of San Mateo County and
the San Mateo County Office of Education
Wednesday, September 25, 2002 from 4 pm until 7 pm
At the Hiller Aviation Museum
You will not want to miss this event! Bring a colleague! Join other math
and science teachers (K - 12), see old friends, and meet new ones in this
new museum in San Mateo County. The Resource Fair will showcase the
following organizations, who will be there to share their expertise, ideas
for the classroom, field trip information, and more: Hiller Aviation
Museum, RAFT, The Exploratorium, Canoes in Sloughs, California Academy of
Science, Marine Science Institute, Science Buddies, Gene Connection, NASA,
San Francisco Zoo, Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Educators
(IISME), Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, and Activities Resources.
This is only a partial list! Most of these organizations has agreed to
host a FREE 3 hour workshop during the school year - just for CMSESMC
members! Non-members can join at this event for $10 per year. Be sure to
bring your calendars so you can sign up for these workshops! If you attend
15 hours' worth of these workshops (which may include 6 hours at our Spring
Conference) you can sign up for 1 unit of graduate level credit from
Chapman University for a $55 fee.
This event is FREE. We will even include light snacks and prizes.
