Subject: microwave oven door holes

I believe that microwave ovens use 2.4 GHz frequency. That's 2.4 * 10^9,
correct? If so, the wavelength would be about .125m. (given that the
speed of light is 3 * 10^9 m/s)

I thought the holes on the oven door were just about as small as the
wavelengths...they are in fact about 1 mm in diameter.
