2003-2004

All positions are Open Until Filled
Current district staff members must submit a letter of interest by May
16th to receive preferential consideration.

All applicants should be interested in teaching in an Integrated,
Thematic Environment. All candidates should have CLAD or other
bilingual authorizations and have or be eligible for California
credentials.

LIPMAN MIDDLE SCHOOL
. Resource Specialist/Teacher - Currently, this is envisioned as
an 80% RSP + 20% teacher position. The teaching portion may be a core,
academic subject or an elective, depending on scheduling needs and
teacher interest.

. Special Day Class Teacher - This is a cross-categorical class.
The school believes in maximum integration of special needs children.
The teacher will work with the RSP teacher to provide needed
supplemental services to special needs students.

. Math/Science Core Teachers (2 positions) - Teachers will each
teach two core periods integrating math and science, and a singleton
class (elective, PE, etc.). The district seeks teachers who wish to
teach beyond textbooks. One position is eighth grade, the other is a
six and seven.

. Spanish/English Teacher - Teacher will build on the TPR-based
Spanish instructional program begun this year. Teacher will also be
responsible for teaching a seventh or eighth grade English class or
other class if school needs change.

BRISBANE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
. Temporary Teacher - Third or 3-4 combination class, depending on
enrollment. This is a full-time, one-year temporary position to replace
a teacher on leave.

PANORAMA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
. Temporary /Job Share Teacher - 2-3 combination class, depending
on enrollment. This position will be to team teach (50:50) with a
teacher who will be going on maternity leave October 31st. Beginning
Nov. 3rd, the position will be full-time through the end of the school
year. (50:50 split time subject to change depending on the course of
pregnancy of job share partner.)

DISTRICT-WIDE
. Part-Time Speech Therapist (.2 to .4) - This teacher will work
with a full-time therapist to meet the speech needs of students in the
Brisbane and Bayshore School Districts. The case load is expected to be
between 18 and 22 students.

. Part-Time Librarian (.2) - The librarian assists/trains the
library media clerks in the district's three schools and orders new,
library materials that support the district's thematic instructional
program and multi-ethnic student body.

. Part-Time Nurse (.2) - The nurse provides the needed hearing,
vision, and other health screening as mandated by the state to all
students and sends follow-up letters to parents or calls parents when
indicated. The nurse also provides consultation services to principals
and secretaries.
