On December 17th, Hoover will hold its first Science Fair/Exhibition/Discovery day. We will have kids from our grades 6-8 participating. This is a purely voluntary activity for the kids and I am happy to say it looks like we may have up to 20 exhibits. The judging will be at 9-11 and then we will open the exhibits to the public for the rest of the day. Every child who participates will get a blue ribbon for something. I am working on award titles now. Anyone who would like to come by is welcome. I could really use a few more judges also. I am not interested that the projects be judged on any set criteria. I am concerned that someone who loves Science comes and shows interest in the kids' work and asks some questions that will allow the kids to expand their thinking.
