Hi- Looking for some insight on two books for use with 8th graders:
Einstein's Dreams and Flatland (or Flatter Land if I can get copies of it)

Einstein's Dreams: I'd love to use this book as opening readings with a
rowdy but curious after-lunch class. Looking for an 8thgrade level
explanation/application of Einstein's Theory of Relativity in order to give
them a little to chew on. :)

Flatter Land is a response to the book Flatland (perspective of life in a
two-dimensional world). I'd like to use this book for enrichment and maybe
geometry review in a geometry-sparse algebra course for 8th graders. Anyone
have experience or thoughts on using it with this level of students?

thanks!
becca
