Hello Pinhole Friends,
Maybe you wondered why there are no Saturday workshops offered at the
Exploratorium this Saturday, March 6.
Most of the Teacher Institute staff are presenting at a local math
and science conference, the annual CMSESMC Spring Conference. Our
own Paul Doherty is the keynote speaker. If you would like to attend
this one-day conference, which offers workshops for K-12 math and
science teachers, you can register on site tomorrow (Saturday)
morning.

What:
The Council of Math/Science Educators of San Mateo County Annual
Spring Conference

Where:
Canada College, Redwood City (take the Farm Hill exit from 280 and go
east to Canada College, which will be on your left)

When:
Saturday, March 6, 2004
Registration will be open at 7:30 am. The sessions start at 8:00 am
and conclude at 3 pm.

Cost:
$55 which includes a light breakfast (on site registration does not
include lunch, but lunch can be purchased on site if you don't bring
your own)

Credit:
Professional development documentation will be provided to those who
request it. 1 unit CEU for $25 from St. Mary's College is also
available. In addition to conference attendance, a short paper will
be required to get college credit.

Other stuff:
The conference exhibitors hold a raffle each year, and last year's
prizes included a compound microcsope and $100 gift certificate to a
science suppy catalog!
Exploratorium authors will be signing books during lunch. Come by
and say hello!

See you there,
Lori
