I am reading a fabulous book ... by bill bryson, "A Short History of Nearly
Everything"

This is a must read for science teachers! The author addresses historical
aspects of everything
from plate tectonics to the theory of relativity. As soon as I finish the
book, I'm going to read it
over again. It's that good. Maybe the best science book I've ever read.
Anyway, I highly
recommend that you check it out ... I feel certain that I will use the
anecdotal material from the
book in my teaching regularly. It is simply amazing!
