Subject: Math position at Leadership High School

My school is seeking a math teacher for the coming school year. Below
is the job posting for the position, along with the contact
information.

Leadership High School is seeking a full-time math teacher for the
2004-05 schoolyear. Leadership high is a small (400 students) public
charter high school offering a college preparatory program that
emphasizes rigor, personal attention, and extensive leadership
development. We serve the diverse communities within San Francisco by
providing students an excellent education and developing effective
community leaders.
Leadership HS uses the IMP math program (www.imp.org), and also
teaches AP Calculus. The specific course assignments for the incoming
math teacher are somewhat flexible, depending on the teacher's
expertise. The math department places a large emphasis on
collaboration and professional development amongst its teachers.

We look for the following qualities in all Leadership High School staff:
* an ability to work well with students, parents and colleagues;
* willingness to participate in a community with a vision;
* experience with a diverse population in an urban setting;
* experience in school reform;
* willingness and experience at being a generalist first and specialist second.
* a current California teaching credential is required for all faculty.
If you are interested, please contact Jessica Gammell (contact
information below) with any questions.
