Hi Kimberley --

It sounds like Pam has already solved your problem, but since constant speed
cars are a widely used item, I thought I'd add the following information in
case it's of interest to you or anyone else.

Last week at the Dublin Toys R Us, I bought the last two "Ford F-350" trucks.
They're single speed, 1 AA battery. I paid $2.49 (normally $4.99) each, but
they were 50% off and were noted as "Green Tag" on the sales slip. Sounds like
a closeout, but the person at the register had no idea whether they'd ever
have any more or not. UPC bar code number is 050211203080. The other number on
the sales slip is probably the Toys R Us SKU number, which is 019457. The
product number for this truck is No. 308, and the manufacturer is New Bright
Industrial Company. They didn't have any other constant speed cars that I could find.

Last February I bought a couple of other products made by the same company,
New Bright, at the same Toys R Us in Dublin. One was a Volkswagen Beetle 4x4
(single speed, 1 AA battery, UPC 05021100115, New Bright porduct number 115),
one was a Big Trax Gravel Truck (single speed, 1 AA battery, UPC 05021110325,
New Bright product number 325). I also bought one of the Ford F-350 trucks noted
above. All were $4.99.

Two or three months ago I bought a couple of additional constant speed cars
for use in the two-week alumni Toys class at the Exploratorium this summer. One
was a Stomper Bulldozer, 2 speed, 1 AA battery -- don't have any other info
in it -- think it was at Toys R Us. I also bought some cheap ($1.99) "Flip Over
Buggy" cars at Boswell's, a party store in Pleasanton. These cars used two C
batteries. I think they may also have been a closeout, though. The same car is
advertised in the Arbor Scientific catalog (www.arborsci.com) as 44-1090,
price $8.00.

It's probably a little weird to actually have all this info, but my years of
teaching have taught me to xerox the packaging material when I find this sort
of thing, because I know it may be hard to locate next time I need it! And I
have five grandkids, so there are never too many cars and trucks!

Hope this may help someone.
