Subject: Direct TV for those days when you want to hide under the lab table

Those without cable, but with tvs might consider the following offer from DISH network. This summer the teacher institute might have a workshop in "Use of the Home Shopping Network in your Physics Class". I dunno, maybe it could...just a suggestion, too much time on my hands I guess. Note to Al Sefi: try putting your tv inside of your refrigerator, thus reducing transit time and making an infinitely fast pendulum.

From IISME:

"DirectTV offers a free multi-satellite system or digital video recording system with TiVo to schools nationwide. The Program is designed so teachers can show nonviolent educational programs to students, including such channels as A&E, BBC America, Bravo, CNN and the History Channel. DirecTV donates the equipment, local channels package and DVR. The school must pay installation costs.

Those wishing to enroll must complete the required paperwork, including a letter on school stationary requesting the package and indicating how many receivers the school wants.

The deadline for applications is Dec. 31

Paperwork is available at:
http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/buy/Business_Schools.dsp
Forms should be faxed to 303-712-4995"

With firm handshake,
Raleigh
