Thanks for the plug, Paul! Another one from the book is "The Nose
Knows" where different flavors of life savers are the material. Have
the experimenter hold their nose and close their eyes. Give them a
life saver, but don't tell them the color/flavor. Have them put it
in their mouth -- they may now open their eyes, but not their noses!
They focus on what they experience in their mouths.....and after
awhile open their noses and describe what they experience. Always a
dramatic difference, and a good lesson on taste/smell connection, and
even some chemistry!
