Hello Pinholers,
The Teacher Institute and the Organization of Northern California
Ethnomathematics (ONCE) are co-sponsoring an Ethnomathematics
Conference here at the museum on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005.
You are invited to join us for a full day of ethnomathematics
workshops and presentations.
The cost of the conference is $30, which includes lunch. The first
30 TI alumni who register will be able to receive $50 stipends for
attending the conference, and it will count as one of your two per
semester Saturday workshops for Spring, 2005. You will end up $20
ahead on this one.

We will be doing a lot of publicity work for the Ethnomathematics
Conference this weekend at the California Math Council's Annual
Conference. Please go to our conference website to find out more
about the presentations and how to register. We want our alumni to
have this early opportunity to register, as space is limited.
For more information, and to register, go to:
http://www.csus.edu/indiv/o/oreyd/once/conference.htm
Please email me at loril@exploratorium.edu
if you have questions.

See some of you at Asilomar this weekend,
Lori
