Not science related, but shows how teachers who teach outside the box
make a difference.
Check your local PBS channel for date and time.

INDEPENDENT LENS
"A Touch of Greatness"
Tuesday, January 11, 2005 10 - 11:00 pm
In an era when Dick, Jane and discipline ruled America's
schools, Albert Cullum allowed Shakespeare, Sophocles and Shaw
to reign in his fifth-grade classroom. Weaving archival footage
with interviews of Cullum and his former students, this film is
a portrait of the lives transformed by a maverick teacher who
enabled children to embrace their inner greatness. (CC, Stereo)

Log on and learn more about Albert Cullum's teachings at the
companion Web site.

"There is no such thing as a self-made (wo)man. We are made up of
thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or
spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the makeup of
our character and our thoughts, as well as our success."
George Matthew Adams
