        • IISME Summer Fellowship Program:
The IISME Summer Fellowship Program places Bay Area K-14 teachers of all
subjects into high-performance work sites for the summer. Teachers
complete
a project for their sponsors and are paid $7,000 for their work.
Teachers
also spend time focusing on ways to transfer their Summer Fellowship
experience back to their students and colleagues. In the past 20 years,
IISME has offered 1,824 Summer Fellowships to 1,059 individual
teachers.
        • Future Connections:
Future Connections coordinates industry-based professional development
days
for educators to a wide variety of companies in Silicon Valley and the
greater San Francisco Bay Area.  We have two trips planned this fall to
  Amgen and Genentech.
Groups of 10-25 teachers, counselors, administrators, and others
participate
in a structured day that typically includes five components:
An overview of company products and services
  A tour of the facilities

Two hours of one-on-one job shadowing matched by interest
Lunch discussion/Q&A on hiring practices and skills for job success
An integration session to solidify the day's impact on curriculum and
  instruction.
        • Teachers Utilizing Technology Conference
Mutliple strand conference offering technology skills, typically held
at the
Krause Center for Innovation in partnership with Foothill College.
