Raleigh,
I will love to have the odd toys for my students. You could call me at (408)
978-1186 to talk about the way to send you the money.
I hope to hear soon from you,
Lucila
PS: thanks for your friendly and firm handshake

Irene,

I am also designing a revised website for my students
for them to have access to most (if not all) my
handouts, etc. when they are absent. As for searches,
etc., I am using our school district server, which is
limited. YOu can find HTML text to add search engines
to your site, just google it. If you are going to
purchase site space, ipowerweb.com is a great server
site...they are only $9.95 per month and you have lots
of services available (you pay the entire year up
front).

I use Dreamweaver to design my website. It is very
easy to use and gives good results. I bought one
book: Lynda's Dreamweaver Training by Lynda Weinman
who writes probably the best software training books I
have ever read.

I would show you my revised website, but I am waiting
for the district to change some settings before I post
it. You can check out my current site at
www.seq.org/~gsilva.

The one comment I get from most parents is to keep the
website updated. Many complain when calendars are not
updated, or information is not there when you say it
is. I get really busy during the school year, so I
try to keep the site simple to make sure I can update
it easily.

Just some thoughts. I hope it helps.

Preschool Science Teacher

San Anselmo Preschool is looking for a nurturing professional teacher with
ECE units to lead their natural science program. This individual would be
responsible for the care and feeding of a wide range of animals. Our
science room houses a rabbit, chinchilla, turtles, frogs, rats, snakes,
hamsters, bearded dragon and more! We are known in the community for our
exceptional natural science component to our preschool program. We have 16
staff members on our preschool site and have operated for more than 35
years. San Anselmo Preschool and Afterschool Center is a non-profit school
that offers its employees an outstanding and fun work experience with good
pay and very competitive benefits. Call Elizabeth McGrady at 415-453-3181
or email EMcG77@aol.com.

re: website creation

Hello:

I messed around with 6 different free providers, and finally settled on
Tripod, which allowed me to have the layout that I wanted. Their building
tool is really cool, but you need to know how to do HTML if you want any of
the links to documents, like I did at:

sciencestudent2000.tripod.com
(look at the assignments page for examples)

Let me know if you want help with that -- it's really easy, just need to
show you the syntax to use!

Best,
Alex

PS Any questions or comments about the website are WELCOME! (I love
feedback!)
