Hi everyone!
Some other suggestions of food items to try for the calorimeter -
anything greasy, like macadamia nuts (they really flame). Ideally your
students will pick their own items to try and figure out why some flame
easily and others seem fireproofed. At the Global Summit conference in SF
last Dec. I attended a food science workshop. The presenter used a cheese
puff (i.e. Cheeto) for the burning food item - I've never seen anything
flame so well or long in this experiment.
