RAFT - Resource Area For Teachers
Workshop Coordinator: Full time Job Opening
The Workshop Coordinator is responsible for the teacher training program at
the RAFT. This includes seeking out qualified workshop facilitators from
the community, and scheduling workshops that will enhance the hands-on
teaching skills of teachers, Pre-K through 12th grade. All workshops
feature a creative use of materials found in the RAFT warehouse in order to
improve Math, Science, Art or other curriculum areas. The Workshop
Coordinator will be encouraged to design a world class teacher training
program, building on the strong foundation of our first year (1996). The
Workshop Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the program,
selecting the qualified workshop providers, determining the schedule of
workshops, and advertising the workshops to RAFT members and others. The
Workshop Coordinator will also be responsible for evaluating the training
program for quality and content. In addition, the Workshop Coordinator will
design display tables and short demonstrations that share the best ideas of
the workshops with all our members.
