Your tongue will only stick to an object (ice cube) if its temperature is
below zero degrees Celsius. When we were kids back in Ohio, we would get
naive youngsters to touch thier tongues to a metal power pole that was below
zero celsius. Their tongues would stick to it until we poured warm water on
the spot where they were stuck. Not recommended for your students.
