If you want to send an attachment-

If it is a word processing document, you will need to save it in a
format that is common to as many wordprocessing programs as possible. I
recommend saving it as "text only" if you can.

Not only will this format ("text only") work in most word processing
programs, but you can open it as a "file" in Netscape.

If you want to keep all the formatting of your document, try saving it as a
Word 4.0 (mac or dos) or earlier. Most word processing programs should be
able to interpret this format.

If it is a graphics file, try saving it in gif or jpeg format.
Both of these formats can be opened as a "file" in Netscape. If the person
receiving your graphic has a Macintosh, you should send your picture as a
"pict file."
