Hi Paul,
I have completely dropped these conversion eqauations from my chemistry
teaching because:
1. the equations only add to student confusion about temperature.
2. the gas laws use only the Kelvin scale.
3. student thermometers all say degrees Celsius.
I guess there are Fahrenheit people and Celsius people and nowadays they
rarely meet.
