I just finished reading and would like to recommend a sci-fi (or is it?)
book called "Cosm", bu Gregory Benford. It's about a woman physicist (a
woman! obviously she wasn't a student where I teach!) who accidentally
creates a bowling-ball sized wormhole into another universe with another
time frame. The author is a professor of physics at UC Irvine and seems to
know his stuff, certainly enough to challenge me!

Is "negative energy density" fiction, or just another bewildering aspect of
quantum physics? Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks!
