Greetings from the Woodrow Wilson Leadership Program for Teachers at
Princeton, NJ

I am involved in a research project concerning the movement of water
striders. We are looking for ways to measure water surface tension.
We have found references to the use of capillary tubes and to a value
of "gamma" in the literature. Does anyone know of some ways to
measure water surface tension? Or some general refernces that deal
with the phenomenom? We will be reducing surface tension with varying
concentrations of detergents.

Thanks for any assistance,

Burt C. Kessler
