While this is an interesting activity, please note that the first
paragraph of "To Do and Notice" is grammatically incorrect. When using
a singular subject (in this paragraph, "one student"), the writer must
be certain that pronoun references agree. The paragraph should begin,
"One student closes his or her eyes," etc. This may appear to be a
minor problem, but I believe that teachers have a responsibility to
speak and write in correct English.
