Sodium Spectrum

Dear sir
A small doubt give detai answer
Sodium spectrum is monochrometer, it consists two colors(D1,D2).
but the light of sodium source passing through the prism resulting we got deferent
colors(red, yello, green,blue,and violet)
why the sodium spectrum more colors despers in prism?
please answer as early as possible.
