Subject: PTRA Workshops

This is to announce that there will be a series of 6 workshops for
teachers of Physics and/or Physical Science offered by the PTRA program of
the American Association of Physics Teachers.

TEACHER AT URBAN PRIVATE OR PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN SAN FRANCISCO OR OAKLAND ARE
ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A STIPEND PAID TO THEM OF $60.00 PER WORKSHOP
(= $360.00 TOTAL FOR ALL 6).

ARRANGEMENTS ARE ALSO BEING MADE TO OFFER THE OPTION OF RECIEVING ACADEMIC
CREDIT THROUGH SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY.

The workshops are held on Saturdays, usually about 9:00-3:00. The first
one will be at St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco on October 2,
1999. The topic will be on Demonstrations in Physics and Physical Science.
