Glas is basucally is an amorphous solid made mostly of silicon dioxide, with
other stuff added to create the desired properties. For example, Pyrex glass
contains some sodium borate. No known glass flows are ambient temperatures.
Recent articles in J. Chem. Ed. indicate that most glasses begin to flow at
about 250 degrees Celsius. To flow like the glass in old church windows would
take about 10-e-31 years! There is no exsisting docment that explains how old
church windows were made, the thicker at the bottom remains a mystery.
