Subject: Galileo talk and play

In case you aren't aware yet, the Berkeley Rep Theatre is currently running
"The Life of Galileo" by Bertolt Brecht. I haven't seen it yet, but the
Guardian has given it a good review. The theatre is located at 2025
Addison; it runs through Nov. 5. General admission tickets run $30 to $40.

A block of $10 tickets is available for students and teachers on Oct. 15
ONLY, while they last.
Call the box office first (510) 845-4700 -- if they aren't aware of this
rate, email Bob Osserman at the address below.

Additionally, a FREE panel session entitled "Galileo -- A Dialog on
Science, Mathematics, History, and Drama" will be held this Friday, Oct 15,
from 4-5:30pm. Speaking are G.V. Coyne, S.J., the Director of the Vatican
Observatory; Michael Winters, who plays Galileo in the production; and
Robert Osserman, an Emeritus professor at Stanford and the Special Projects
Director at MSRI, the Mathematical Sciences Research Intitute.

Contact Bob Osserman at osserman@ibm.net for any other questions!
