Subject: shadow zone

Hi,

Does anyone know the approximate angle for the shadow
zone in the ocean as measured by a ship? In other
words, what is the maximum angle that sonar will reach
the bottom of the ocean without being refracted back
to the surface? My marine scientists are curious.
