Marc,

I think that the Milky Way rotates once every 200 million years.
This causes the Sun to move at about 240 km/sec in its orbit around the
core.

Subject: pinhole Solar Year?

Hi all,

Me again. Anybody know how long it takes the sun to
orbit the center of the galaxy? I couldn't find it in
the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.
