Here is your chance to experience two of my favorite bay field trips in one
day. Read on for more info.

Canoes in Sloughs / Marine Science Institute
Teacher Workshop
Saturday, April 15, 2000
9:00 am to 4:00 pm at MSI in Redwood City
… Experience hands-on science activities designed for 4th - 12th grade
students using the San Francisco Bay as an integrating context for learning.
… Participate in on-the-water programs: a canoe trip in Redwood Creek and
a boat trip on the Open Bay.
… Learn about programs offered by Marine Science Institute and Canoes in
Sloughs.
… Take home a wealth of resource materials, including videos, posters, and
curriculum.

Who We Are
Marine Science Institute is a non-profit educational organization that
provides interdisciplinary marine science programs to Bay Area students.
The "Discovery Voyage" aboard the RV Robert G. Brownlee is a hands-on
investigation of San Francisco Bay ecology.

Canoes in Sloughs is the watershed education program of Save The Bay, a
nonprofit advocacy organization. On-the-water field trips with Canoes in
Sloughs are offered for sixth through twelfth grade students in wetlands
throughout the Bay Area.
