Subject: Rediscovery of Edison Etheric Force was Any Ideas?

Hello Marc:

You have rediscovered what Thomas Alva Edison saw in his experiments with
radio about 1873! Edison was using high voltage from an induction coil in an
experiment when in the darkened lab he found a spark between two pieces of
metal near each other but separated from the experiment by some distance. He
played around with the discovery for some time and invented a wireless
telegraph for trains and patented the "antenna." Had Edison not called the
radio waves "etheric force," he would have been given the credit of the
invention of radio. His term for radio was "grasshopper telegraph!" This
was before Hertz did his pioneering work and Marconi had to get Edison's
permission to use antennas! (antennae)

What you witnessed, Hertz witnessed, and Edison witnessed. When a radio wave
passes an antenna, a current is induced by the electromagnetic wave.
Microwave ovens tell us not to put metal objects inside because, if close to
each other, they will pick up the energy and spark to the point of melting.
Ever leave a metal twist tie on something you put into the microwave? Heat,
sparks, and smoke are what you get. Microwave ovens send many Watts of
energy into the oven cavity and the two halves of your grape acted as two
halves of the antenna needed to develop the opposing charges. The grape
juice is a conductor and the cut you made in the grape gives it a "U" shape
that the shorter microwaves (6.4GHz if my poor memory serves) find attractive
as an antenna (antennas get smaller as wavelengths get smaller). The grape
then picks up the wave and must dump the converted energy in the form of a
spark that occurs after the grape is heated and opens up a bit. A
fluorescent lamp or a neon wand several feet from a medium sized Tesla coil
will light up from the same Edisonian/Hertzian waves going through them.

Now the question is how much does your brain light up with the cell phone
pushing microwaves through you? ;-)

p.s.: Don't worry about the cell phone, it is running around a Watt of
energy dissipated in all directions. The microwave ovens start at 500 Watts
then the more you pay the higher the Wattage you can get.
